Grant & Withdrawal Policy
This explains what happens to money between the moment a Genie gives and the moment a wish is made real.
Confirmation first
A grant is only recorded once our payment provider confirms the payment on our servers. Nothing is ever marked granted based on the browser alone.
Platform fee
A platform fee applies to each grant. When a Genie covers costs, the wish still receives the full grant amount.
Withdrawals
Verified wishers can request a withdrawal to their verified bank account once their wish reaches its goal, or earlier where partial release is approved.
Checks before payout
We may run identity, risk and eligibility checks before releasing funds, and may hold a payout while a wish is under review.
Unfulfilled wishes
If a wish expires without reaching its goal, the wisher may still withdraw what was raised for the same stated purpose, or ask us to refund the Genies.
